Time flies like a fast stream of water
Life on earth swirls around
The friendship bonded 50 years ago
Finally got together
It was a momentous occasion
Though once fresh and young skins
Had turned into wrinkles
Their heart and soul
Bright and untarnished forever
The first decade of 2000 was fading away
Renewing the old friendship
So much to say about the past
No words sufficient to describe
What’s in their mind
The friends walked side by side
Along the valley in silence
Reading the mind of others
They had finally reached
At a place located in a remote area
In Kyung-ki do, An-san myun
At the end of the Milky Way
The friends put their two hands together
Sent a prayer to God
Thousand words of their mind
All evaporated into the sky
Lingering around the valley of Miree-nae
Eternally and forever

미리내 에서의 기도
시간은 물살같이 빠르다 하던가
인생의 길은 돌고 돌아
50 년 전에 맺은 친구들과
뜻 깊은 모임을 하니
보동 보동 하던 얼굴의 피부는
쭈록 쭈록 변 하였으나
그 마음 옛 과 다름 없어
싱싱하고 새롭구나
2000 년도의 첫 10 년을 보내며
친구를 다시 만나니
하고 싶은 말 끝이 없거늘
목이 매어 시작도 못 했네
손 잡고 산 길을 따라
정처 없이 걷기만 하며
이심 전심 만족 하였네
어느덧 도착한 곳
경기도 안성면에 자리 잡은
은하수의 시작의 점
친구는 두 손을 모아
기도를 올리니
그 동안 못한 말이
하늘로 승화하여
미리내 골자구니에
영원히 남게 되었네

옛 친구들 만난날을 기억하며
또 여러분께 기쁜 새해를 기원하면서
